Using the Highligther in SmartDraw

You can highlight important elements of your document in SmartDraw by using the Highlighter. To access the Highlighter, use the Whiteboarding Tools Dropdown and select Highlighter.

Set the Color and Thickness of the Highlighter

To change the color or thickness of the Highlighter, simply click the Colored Circle next to the Highlighter icon. A dropdown menu should appear and allow you to choose the desired thickness and color you want your Highlighter.

Exiting Highlighter Mode

When you are finished using the Highlighter, click Select under the Whiteboarding Tools Dropdown, or hit "Esc" on your keyboard.

Editing the Properties of Existing Highlight

There are a couple of ways you can change the color or thickness of a highlight that has already been drawn:

  • One way you can change the color or thickness is the use Line Style located in the Home tab.

  • Another way is to simply right-click on the highlight and choose Styling to change the color or thickness.

Delete a Highlight

To remove or delete the highlight, right-click and choose Delete. You can also use "Delete" on your keyboard when the highlight is selected.
