# Importing Files from Lucidchart and Omnigraffle
You can import documents from any application that exports to the Microsoft Visio file format. This includes apps like Lucidchart and Omnigraffle.
Start by opening the **Import** view from the **Dashboard** and click on **Other**.
Next, select the app you want to import from by clicking on their logo.
You'll find instructions for each app.
### Import Lucidchart Files
You can import any Lucidchart® file into SmartDraw by first exporting it as a Visio® file then importing that file into SmartDraw.
1. Open **Lucidchart**® and select the file you want to import.
2. Click the **File** tab at the top-left corner.
3. Select **Export**, then choose **Visio (VSDX)** from the list of options.
4. Open SmartDraw, click **Import** and select the **Visio** import option.
### Import Omnigraffle Files
You can import any Omnigraffle® file into SmartDraw by first exporting it as a Visio® file then importing that file into SmartDraw.
1. Launch **Omnigraffle** and open the file you want to import.
2. Click **File** in the top-left corner.
3. Click **Export** and select **Visio** from the popup dialog.
4. Open SmartDraw, click **Import** and select the **Visio** import option.
