# Hide Shape Data
Certain symbols have [Shape Data](https://support.smartdraw.com/adding-shape-data?hsLang=en-us). This means there's data associated with the shape that SmartDraw is keeping track of.
These symbols have a blue "info" icon displayed in the bottom right corner of the shape. When you hover over the icon, a pop up will show you the data associated with that symbol.
You can turn off the display of Shape Data.
First, switch the view on your SmartPanel to **Data** mode using the **Data icon** on the **Left Bar**.
Next, select **Hide Shape Data** to hide the information icon and the display of data associated with it.
This will only remove the ability to **see** the data on the diagram. The data will still be associated with the shape if you need to create a manifest or export it. You can also edit the individual data fields and values as needed.
If you want to bring back the ability to see the Shape Data again, in the same Data mode, you can click on **Show Shape Data**.
