# Adding Notes
You can add a note to any shape. First, select a shape, then choose **Note** under the **Insert** options on the **Home** tab.
**Enter your note** in the text field that appears below the object and click elsewhere in the workspace when done to save changes. You can see and edit your note by clicking on the yellow sticky note in the lower right corner of the shape.
